While it is possible for anyone to write for The YourZion Journal, it is a select few who actually get published. Any member who accrues GPs totally over 10,000 earns the ability to submit articles for The YourZion Journal, however only those articles that are chosen by our editors actually get published. Often times a YourZion editor will select a person to become a contributor. In this case that contributor will have priority over all other submitters and will be more likely to get published.

What are GPs and how do I get them?

GPs are Gift Points. Gift Points are used to incentivize activity and camaraderie among the members of YourZion.com. Gift Points are awarded to members each day they login to YourZion.com and every time they participate in different site activities. (such as posting and reading articles, uploading images, inviting friends to join YourZion.com, etc...) Gift Points can also be purchased by selecting the 'Purchase Gift Points' option in the 'Gift Points' menu. Members can also donate or reward Gift Points to other members with Gift Points they already own. Also, there may be times when an administrator witnesses a member doing something really wonderful; that administrator may award that member with Gift Points. To learn more about GPs click here.

How To Use Applications PDF Print E-mail

1. Core applications are those applications that the site administrator have chosen to be mandatory for all users. They either need to be enabled for site functionality or the site admin desires to greatly encourage their use.

2. Members may add other applications to their profile page by selecting the 'Your Applications' link in the 'Applications' menu and then clicking on any one of the 'Add application' links. Select any application that looks interesting to you, play around with it, see if it works for you.

3. Once you've added applications you may move those applications around, reorganizing where they will appear on your profile page. Applications located in the left area will appear in the main body of your profile page and applications located in the right area will appear in the right column of your profile page. (unfortunately Core Applications cannot be moved and the site administrators cannot change this.)

4. If you decide that an application that you've added is not working out then you may choose to remove that application by mousing over the application's icon and clicking on the red X that appears.

We hope you enjoy using these applications. Please understand that many of the applications add functionality relating to third party websites, which may require account activation at that third party website. If you try an application and it does not work it likely requires third part support and registration.

YourZion.com does NOT endorse any third party website nor encourage its members to join any third party website without doing their own due diligence in researching that website before joining.
